The Day You Died
I glanced down into your eyes. They were unmoving. They were staring past everyone, into the clouds. They looked like glass, so precious and delicate. Their bright brown was slowly losing their color, until it was just a dull grey. Nothing seemed bright, but the world was in black and white. There were no words to describe how I felt when I saw this.
There was a crowd forming and sirens wailing. I paid no attention. In my world right now, there was nothing but you. I slowly bent down, put my hand on your chest, right where the bullet hit. Nothing that I knew of could save you, not even the medics.
